Paula Kauffman Oberly


Life is complicated with competing demands for our time, energy and resources. Whether you're struggling with a particular issue, or just can't shake the feeling that there should be more to life, she can help you to develop balance in your life, relationships, and career.  Paula will provide you with a caring environment to help you identify and overcome issues to achieve your goals and experience success. Her goal is to provide you with the insights and tools you need to be thoughtful in your relationships, reframe thinking, improve communication, develop coping strategies and obtain balance in your life.

Paula has over 10 years of experience helping individuals and families overcome challenges related to Autism Spectrum Diagnoses and Attention Deficit Disorders who are preparing for college, are in college or are adults gaining one of these diagnoses for the first time.  She has helped youth and adults to reach goals related to Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Social and Educational difficulties related to these situations.

Paula graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Psychology, and Ohio University with a Master's Degree in Community Mental Health Counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and a National Certified Counselor. She also holds a certificate as an Approved Clinical Supervisor. Her clinical experience includes private practice, working in wraparound in the home and community, college counseling center, community mental health outpatient centers, partial hospitalization program and in schools of every grade level.  Paula is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh’s Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health program.

She is a member of the Greater Pittsburgh Counseling Association, Pennsylvania Counseling Association, American Counseling Association. She adheres to the code of ethics of the American Counseling Association and National Board of Certified Counselors.

Megan Lindeman


Megan is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. She has experience working with children and families from diverse backgrounds, families in crisis, adolescents and adults who may be struggling with mental health issues and/or developmental conditions, students with disabilities at the secondary and post-secondary levels, individuals struggling with transitional issues (e.g. new diagnoses, illnesses, emerging adulthood, caring for elderly parents), and individuals with disabilities and employment issues/career counseling needs. Megan also works for the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. Her therapeutic approach is eclectic, client-centered, existential, and solution-focused. CBT and DBT are also used.

Megan graduated from the Community College of Allegheny County with an A.S. in Child and Family Studies, the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Applied Developmental Psychology, and a M.S. in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences with a concentration in Counseling also from Pitt. She adheres to the code of ethics of the American Counseling Association and the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor

Certification. Megan is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Pennsylvania Counseling Association, and the Greater Pittsburgh Counseling Association.

Megan believes that people genuinely do the best they can. Everyone experiences joys and sorrows that can impact daily functioning. Sometimes these experiences can make us feel “stuck,” but we have the power to choose how we respond to these situations. Since learning never ends, we will discuss ways in which to build self-awareness and build your “tool box” with strategies to empower you in everyday life. A growth-promoting and caring atmosphere will be provided to allow you to find inner peace, discover your strengths, and help you to find balance in your life.

Jennifer Jasiekiewicz


Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She obtained a Masters of Counseling and Human Development at Walsh University. She uses a variety of approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Art Therapy. She has particular experience in working with those facing depression, anxiety, trauma, phase of life issues, LGBT concerns, anger management, and addiction. 

“I hope to help you build the confidence and skills you need to manage the stressors in your life. It is my goal to provide a non-judgmental, safe environment to work on whatever is interfering with your happiness. I am someone who enjoys bringing humor into our sessions, and look forward to having the opportunity to get to know you. I hope to help you find the strength and support you need through our sessions together.”

Emily Boris


Emily is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor who works with clients from all walks of life to address their mental health needs. She firmly believes that to enjoy a truly fulfilling life, one must find balance and cohesion amongst all areas of life; spiritual, emotional and mental, achievable through her holistic approach to therapy.  Emily provides individuals a safe place to address their concerns, while treating them with dignity and respect, increasing overall client success. Emily has always been drawn to helping people, and believes that her down to earth personality and client-centered approach, creates a less intimidating experience, wherein her clients can truly engage in the therapeutic process, promoting profound personal growth and lifelong change. Emily holds a Master of Science in Education for Community Counseling and Mental Health from Duquesne University. She is also certified in Addictions Counseling, as well as Trauma Informed Care.

Emily began her career working with adjudicated adolescents coping with dual diagnosis and a history of trauma. Since then, she has predominantly
focused on treatment for those who have been diagnosed with such disorders as; depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, trauma, anger management, substance abuse and dual diagnosis. She engages individuals in treatment through a variety of modalities including CBT, Strength- based and Client-Centered approaches. She is also experienced in providing individual, family, adolescent, couples and group counseling. In her spare time, Emily enjoys spending time with her close family and friends, exploring all that her hometown of Pittsburgh has to offer, and catching the occasional Yankees game.

Barbara Sawatis


Barb is a licensed professional counselor with 15 years’ experience as a therapist working with children, teens, adults, couples and families from diverse backgrounds and cultures, including the LGBTQ population, and people with physical and intellectual disabilities.   Her experience includes attachment issues with adoptive children and families, addiction and recovery, ACOA/codependency issues, trauma, women’s issues, and mood disorders. Barb’s therapeutic approach is eclectic and humanistic, utilizing cognitive behavioral approaches, insight-based work, motivational interviewing and expressive art techniques as appropriate for each individual.  She adheres to the American Counseling Association’s Code of Ethics. Her education includes an MS in Professional Counseling from Carlow University and a BA in sociology and a BA in English from Duquesne University.

Barb believes that everyone is deserving of respect regardless of their challenges.  She endeavors to approach each person non-judgmentally and with compassion. She looks for the “healthy strivings” in each person’s experience.  It is her assumption that all behavior, for better or worse, is driven by a desire to avoid suffering. We just need help learning how to do that in a healthy and effective manner.

Jenn Lee

Jenn Lee is the lady behind the phone and emails. She helps keep the office running smoothly and works with all incoming clients. She pairs clients with the appropriate counselors to provide the highest level of care. Previous to joining our practice, Jenn worked in the radiology department of West Virginia University Hospitals scheduling patients and verifying insurances.
