An Annual Self-Care Retreat for Mental Health Therapists

 

Practice skills to add to your self-care toolkit for personal, ethical, and professional wellness.

Do you remember the days in undergrad when it was a beautiful day and you just wanted to be outside. You hoped that maybe your professor would take you outside to have lecture and discussion? We are taking that feeling and running with it. This retreat will take us outside! We will take time to be intentional, and mindful to attend to our needs as therapists. We will practice what we encourage others to do. You will be invited to participate with choices recognizing individual needs and vulnerability.


When & Where

The 2024 Healthy Helpers Retreat will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Sunnyhill 1240 Washington Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15228. The retreat starts at 10:00am and ends at 5:00pm. Sign-in will begin at 9:45am. Sessions will be outside as much as possible, weather permitting.


Outline of the day:

9:45am - 10:00am: Sign in
10:00am - 12:00pm: Sessions
12:00pm - 1:00pm: Lunch (included)
1:00pm - 5:00pm: Sessions
5:00pm: Turn in evaluations, complete self care plan, and carry intentions forward

*We are starting at 10am to encourage you to start your day in a way that is calm and at your own pace before you arrive to the retreat.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring a yoga mat or blanket, water bottle, and anything else to be comfortable throughout the day. Lunch will be provided. 


How to register:
